Most people just call him CTG. He’s the independent developer behind HypixelHousing.com and one of the early pioneers of Free Build on Hypixel Housing. Here’s his story, what he builds, and the best way to reach him.

Who runs HypixelHousing.com?
HypixelHousing.com is run by CTG123456, or CTG for short. He’s an independent developer and community organizer who has spent years in the Hypixel Housing scene as a Free Build host, a moderator, and a builder of free tools for other players. Outside of Minecraft, he’s also a longtime Grand Theft Auto V fan.
He started this site in 2024 as a free hub for Housing players: guides, color codes, Free Build resources, and links to the community tools and creators worth knowing. He keeps it updated as Housing changes, and he’s always glad to hear when something needs a fix.

An early pioneer of Free Build
CTG opened his first major Free Build in October 2020. It grew into a network of active plots hosted across several accounts, including CtgBot, CTGTemporary, and qctg, and those plots became known for being stable, well organized, and consistently moderated. Within the community, he’s often credited as one of the early pioneers of the Free Build format on Housing.
What set those builds apart:

- Community standards that went on to influence later Free Build projects

How CTG runs communities
CTG has more than five years of experience designing and moderating communities on Minecraft and Discord. Running busy, high-visibility spaces comes with real challenges, and those experiences gave him a strong focus on security, healthy boundaries, and responsible moderation.
In practice, that means clear rules that are enforced the same way every time, building for the long run instead of a quick spike in players, and enough structure that a busy space stays fun instead of turning chaotic. The goal is a community that stays usable, fair, and resilient over time.
