Color codes FAQ
What are Hypixel Housing color codes?
They’re Minecraft-style formatting codes that change the color and style
of text in Housing. Type & followed by a code:
&6 turns text gold, &l makes it bold, and
&r resets everything back to normal. They’re the same
codes whether you spell it color or colour.
Where do color codes work in Hypixel Housing?
In Housing text like house names, signs, menus, and holograms. They don’t work in regular player chat.
Why does my bold text lose its bold after a color code?
In Minecraft, a color code turns off any formatting that came before it. Put
the color first, then the formatting: &6&l gives you bold
gold, while &l&6 shows plain gold.
What are Hypixel Housing symbols?
Usually players mean the formatting codes themselves, an &
followed by a character. Some also mean decorative characters, like stars,
pasted into names and signs. Those are regular text characters, not formatting
codes.
Can I test color codes before using them?
